This region covers 6 screens of woodlands, two huts, and a small secret area. The woods are patrolled by Fairy and Plant monsters. A signpost and a couple of strolling NPCs provide hints on local conditions.
The critical content is two screens to the north of the entrance, where a suffering Ranger blocks the entrance to an abandoned shrine. Access is granted by delivering 10 Soft Leaves Rolls. These can be collected from various 
brown chests in this region, or as drops from Weedy plant monsters. The shrine contains some golz and a 
purple chest with the 
Empty Urn, Ranger .
A 
boulder blocks access to another screen with various loot: golz, food, stuff, brown chest with Soft leaves Roll, 
blue chest with 
, and 
red chest with the Woods Well Rope. Some thorns guard the entrance to a hut; this contains stuff, a 
chef's cauldron, and a 
small orange chest with the Healer Kit.
The Woods Well contains a brown chest with +1 Longsword of the 
Knight.
A screen to the west contains a blue chest with 11 x , and 2 brown chests containing Soft Leaves Roll and a Shooting Bow of the 
Ranger. The two valuable chests are, naturally, on the other side of a forbidding patch of thorns...
